I have not had much time to be on my blog . My life is so full . I have been watching my sweet Grace grow , She brings so much joy to me .
Bernie and I were on Vacation on Sanibel Island recently , We had a much needed rest there .
We are getting ready to add a new Deck to our home , It should start this week .
Next big occasion is My Niece Leannes wedding in Ireland , I am so looking forward to it

This sweet little baby is My Grand daughter Grace Marilla Shelley , She was born on November 29th and weighed a tiny 4 pounds 7 ounces. This photo was taken on the day she was born . She is a beautiful alert little girl . Her proud parents are my son David and his wife Christine . We are all so happy to have this sweet baby girl in our lives :)

I can hardly believe it has been almost two months since I have been active on my blog , There are just not enough hours in the day . as My friend Lita says " If we could just felt some extra hours .
So much has happened since I was last here . I had a lovely two weeks with my Sister Assumpta who came for some 'sister time ' from Ireland , We had such a lovely time together , which I will treasure for the rest of my life
Bernie and I went to Colorado for the most amazing Vacation in September . Another time to treasure . But the biggest news is mY son David and his was Christine will be adding a new baby to their family in Dcember . Its a girl! As you can imagine I have been baby shopping and crocheting for my first Grandchild .

I have not blogged for several weeks , My sister Assumpta ( on the left) came from Ireland on avisit . We had a wonderful time . It meant so much to me to have a visit alone with her . We were able to do all tha 'sister' things when she was here , We laughed a lot , shopped a lot and even cried a little , but it was all good :) It was a visit I will always treasure . It has been 37 years since I have had that alone time with her and I hope one day to be able to do it again.

Victoria is a thread crochet bear , She is 4 1/4 inches sitting and 5 3/4 inches standing , She is a very pretty Champagne colour and has a crocheted cotton collar adorned with a ribbon and heart shaped charm with ' hand made with love 'on it . Victoria loves her hat to which I have added silk roses , ribbon , 'pearl' beads and a tiny butterfly. She is five way jointed and can be easily posed

This is my latest needle felted creation. Archie, the Arctic Baby Fox Archie is approx.3 3/4inches to the top of his ears and 6 3/4 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail,

He is 100% needle felted including his eyes . I used Marino for his coat.

Needle felting is the process of interlocking wool fibres by stabbing it with a barbed needle. The barbs catch the scales on the fibre and cause them to tangle and bind together. To create a 3D sculpture it can take hours of work and literally thousands of stabs from start to finish

Bernie got back on Saturday from our Vacation to St Thomas , We had a very relaxing Vacation there. I didn't realize The Island was one big hill ! We were on the waterfront and had a beautiful view , We stayed at the Marriott Resort on Frenchmans Reef.

This little one is named Kitty . Her face , and paws are needle felted and her body and head is crocheted with a ribbon/eyelash thread. She is about 4 1/2inches sitting and about 6 inches long . She may look like she has a thyroid condition but she is just so in awe of the new world she has come into :) .

This was made for a challenge in my Thread Artist group, The title was ' A Day at thr Beach'

This little Bear is named Summer . She is wearing > a one piece swim suit and matching hat . Her umbrella is crochetef > and I added fimo to to help it stand . Her beach chair frame was > made by Bernie and I crocheted the cover , I copied a photo taken > on our vacation in hawaii and printed it out on regular computer > paper for the back ground . To make it more realistic I added sand> Hope you all like it . Summer is approx. about 2 1/2 inches tall> Love Mary S

I created this little mouse last week , His name is
Malachy , He is needle felted using a barbed needle and wool roving. Malach's feet and nose were hand molded by me , using Polymer . I also used polymer to make the plate , The cake is needle felted . This little one was made without use of a pattern , I usually visualize and design as I go along

I was born and raised in Dublin Ireland , I now live in Delaware in the United States. I have been married to my husband and best friend Bernie since 1971. We have two adult children and are owned by a cat named Reilley.
I have always loved crafting . I used to embroider a lot , I also enjoy knitting , crocheting and needle felting. After discovering the art of crocheting miniature collectibles and needle felting I became hooked , They are now my passion. I sell some of them on Etsy and E Bay. Another of my hobbies is flower gardening , I love to read particularly books of Irish Interest.I also like Music of all kinds but tend to own mostly Irish and spiritual CD'S I hope to show and talk about my hobbies on this blog .
